Amazing, vegan, clean clear broth that packs flavor.

I hate pho places on this side of the bay. I've looked and looked and gone to all the popular places and have only been let down.

I came here on a whim with a classmate after class one day. Our only knowledge of the place was that it was open late and offered veggie food.

We show up and I'm a little put off your the people hanging out in front, more like laying down in front. It was the first time I'd seen that. We walking and I see the clearest thing they offer is veggie pho. I had already eaten before class, a pretty heavy meal so, I needed something light.

When I first laid eyes on the soup I was worried, a clear broth can often mean flavorless veggie water. Once I tried it I was really excited by what I tasted. Their broth is on the saltier side but, it's not overwhelming, in an odd way the saltiness lends itself to the flavors of the soup. The broth taste clean, the veggies are crisp and I order it with no tofu so, there's an oil free taste which fried tofu can sometimes add.

I dream about this soup, in fact once I've finished the soup an hour later I wish I had more. I find it hard to over indulge as more than once every couple days can actually be too much.

If your vegan pho search has lead you to be disappointed and frustrated by what the east bay has to offer this place is worth a try :)

I'm white, but my girlfriend is Vietnamese, so over the years I've prided myself on my taste for good pho. My girlfriend agrees, this is THE BEST RESTAURANT PHO we have ever had. Only thing that is better is her moms.

The rice dishes and what not are solid. This was the BBQ pork chop over steamed rice and veggies, which was solid. But honestly, just get the pho. And go with someone that knows how to prep the pho properly. Coming from a traditional white boy, I promise you that's key.

Best pho in the east bay. Great prices. Everything else is solid too. It's also a family restaurant. Can't say enough good things. Doesn't deserve the 3.5 stars.

I have had the sea food soup many other places and this is the best. I have come here for more years than I can recall and the staff is great.

Food was so so but freshly made and the staff was friendly. Came here on a quiet night but enjoyed basking in the ambiance of a pho place outside of China town near the lake. I see another one will be opening up around the corner. Haven't tried their pho, but I WILL SAY their spring rolls were bomb. Thaaaats how I pictured a Vietnamese egg roll should taste like. We're moving into the area so maaaaybe I'll be back. Crowd was diverse, area was cool.

I'm tired of cash only places. There must be better ways to money launder in 2019.

Still, I keep finding myself withdrawing money at the Chase bank and paying the $3 fee so I can toss it to Pho An Dao.

I like to shovel the Pho Ga into sick children. The eggplant dish is delicious. All the noodley doodely broth stuff is a solid 'B.'

I was pretty stoked when Pho King opened across the street, but those asshats didn't bring me my tea and took 45 minutes to cough up a bowl of Pho.

Due to laziness and lack of better options in walking distance from my house, this solidly mediocre establishment will probably keep getting my dollars. I'll  just be avoiding the broken rice and overcooked meat plates.
